  Teachers at this school get involved in all sorts of jobs.  

What does a nursing mother do with her baby if she wants to keep her job.  The school has recently set up a nursery where teachers can bring their babies.  This solves the nursing problem for the mothers and allows the school to keep their experienced teachers who would otherwise have to stop working.

The school tries to provide as varied a program as possible.  
  It always helps to improve your skills.  This course specialized in breads and pastries.
Paul, a young Texan volunteer, worked at El Hogar during January.  When St. Mary's Technical Institute reopened in February, he moved there to teach English and oversee the store rooms.  
  Kids are the same all over.  
With 80 + boys, not much grass grows.  Painted rocks are an attempt to decorate and define unpaved paths.  Sometimes the boys use the paths.
